A check at the Contra Costa Main Library in Pleasant Hill yielded a very
terse death notice for WHARTON in the
Jan. 29, 2003 Contra Costa Times - page A-12:

Back issues of the West County Times, a separate edition of the Contra
Costa Times, are not kept at the Pleasant Hill branch. A check of the
CCTimes yielded nothing for MOSHER from Nov. 25th to the end of the
month / reel. Perhaps someone out on the "west end" can check at the
Pinole or San Pablo branches.
