Thanks Deb, that's what I was afraid of. My grandfathers marriage license
states his parents as Robert E. & Bettie L. (Patterson) Crowder. I saw
the names Robert D. & Nettie L., so I thought maybe they might be the same
people. Actually, checking my records again, the 1900 Madera Census says
Nettie while the Fresno Marriages says Hettie. It looks like I'm back to
square one. Thank you for your help. The Patterson bios were very interesting
and may still fit in somewhere.
