As Pop Saw It, vol 1 -- this is a coffee table picture book of vintage valley photos taken by Pop Laval, many of the old Fresno postcards are taken from his photos, too. There's three volumes altogether.

Fresno County, the Pioneer Years: From the Beginnings to 1900 -- this is a large format hard cover book, this is volume I, there was a second one written to cover years after 1900. It's not easy to find this book at all, for any price. It was written by Charles Clough with the help of William Seacrest and others. For my money, these two books are the DEFINITIVE Fresno County Histories. The second volume, 1900-present (it was the 1980's, I think) is still available for sale by the Fresno County Historical Society.

Fresno County Centennial Almanac, 184 pages of 1950's Fresno County centenniel info/history. You'll see this at much higher prices in places. Previously a library book, it's the hardback edition, but no dust jacket. A great price considering what the soiled soft covers go for (see below...)

History of Fresno County, 1919, Paul Vandor, both volumes. These are HUGE books with 2603 pages. I have them both, and are one of the resources for my biography look ups at my web site. I've seen a few sets of these in much worse condition sell for the same price.
