Amy,
There was a James Cagle on the 1833 Tax List in Hardin Co., TN. He was gone
before 1836. He appears to have been associated with a Henry Cagle, also on
the 1833 Tax List. Other Cagles in Hardin Co. TN at that time were
descendents of Henry Cagle, Sr. of Cabarrus-Montgomery Co., NC.
>From John G. Cagle's works, we find that there was a James Cagle in Cabarrus
Co., NC in 1840 and a Henry Cagle in Mecklenburg Co., NC in 1840, neither of
which were identified.
David
Hardin Co., TN
