I believe this is the James Cagle you are making reference to and he does
have a son
Jesse who was b. 1856, Mississippi.

Did your Lizzie Cagle have children by Jesse J Cagle and if so what are
their names and
dates of birth?

If you are able to definitely connect Jesse J. Cagle to Liz, please let
me know so I can
update my records.


James4 Cagle (William3, Leonard2, Leonhart1 Kegel) was born 09 July 1813
in Meadville, Franklin Co., MS Territory, and died 26 February 1895 in
Brookhaven, Mississippi. He married Mariah Smith 21 October 1837 in
Lawrence Co., MS, daughter of William Smith and Delilah Kees. She was
born 15 December 1815 in Meadville, Franklin Co., MS, and died 14 April
1889 in Brookhaven, Mississippi.

James was a farmer. James served in Co B, 2d Regt., Mississippi Infantry
as a Sergeant, CSA from 8 Jun 1862, Montecello, MS to 22 Aug 1862,
disability, age 49 yrs.
