LUTHER R. CAGLE
CARTHAGE--Luther R. Cagle, 80, of Carthage, died Friday (9/21/01) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A native of Carthage, he was a son of the late Johnny and Ocie Davis Cagle and was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Cole Cagle, and a so, John Cagle. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and was owner and operator of Cagle's Used Cars in Carthage.
Graveside service will be conducted by 11 a.m. Monday at Cross Hill Cemetery by Pastor David Reynolds.
Surviving are a son, Steve Cagle of Carthage; daughter, Linda Fields of Broadway; sister, Bertha Bryant of Sanford; brothers Paul and Claude Cagle, both of Sanford; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
