I found what appears to be your father's death record on the SSI database :
THOMAS H CAGLE 09 Jul 1933 18 Apr 2001 (V) 97031 (Hood River, Hood River,
OR) (none specified) 429-56-4294 Arkansas
Didn't know if you had this or not but just in case you don't. May be
someone on the list can tell you where to write for his Navy records.
