Linda:
Yes, I have an autographed copy of the book: Living With the Giants. (I
believe that I have all of Evelyn's books, as her son brought them all
over to our house the last time that he, his wife and Mother were over
for dinner (what a nice evening that was!!). On page 41, she says the
Robert Hensel was one of three school boys that first came onto the
beach when the submarine, the H3, was lost in the fog offshore December
14, 1916. May I send you a photocopy of the page, our do wish to order a
copy from the Humboldt Historical Society?
If this Robert Hensel was a schoolboy, newspaper delivery body in 1916,
he probably wouldn't have come to to Humboldt COunty in the 1860's.
I do not find any mention of the Hensel's in my early indexes or books.
Odd.
