Donald Louis "Sunshine" Goselin
Donald Louis "Sunshine" Goselin passed away in Woodland, Saturday, March 1, 2003, at the age of 61. He was born in Eureka, Ca., June 11, 1941.
Don was a resident of Yolo County for 61 years. He attended Woodland Schools and graduated from Woodland High School in 1960. He entered the U.S. Army in 1963 and was stationed at Ft. McPherson, Georgia and served overseas in Korea. He received the National Defense Service Medal and was an authorized rifle Marksman. He was honorably discharge in 1966 with a rank of Specialist 5. Upon his return home he was a carpenter and construction worker until he retired in 1980. Don was a member of the VFW and a former member of the Woodland Moose Lodge. Don was a dedicated son, husband, brother and father. He was a proud honest, reliable man who always kept his word. He was grateful for his family and cherished memories of his many friends. He was a simple man who was fond of the good old days.
Survivors include his wife, Lupe Goselin. Daughter, Lori M. Goselin and partner Charles Kelly. Sons, Donald J. Goselin and John A. Goselin. Grandchildren, Rhiannon, Savanna and Phoenix Kelly. Mother, Pansy Burris. Twin brother, Ron L. Goselin and wife Connie as well as brothers, Bill Turold and wife Jane and Jack Turold and wife Sally as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 7. The funeral service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at McNary's Chapel, with interment to follow at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland.
A memorial fund in the name of Donald Goselin has been set up at the Yolo Federal Credit Union, 266 W. Main St., Woodland, 95695.
McNary's Chapel of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
