Gutterson, age 18, probably the father and brother respectively of William Huntoon's wife Caroline. Charles C. Gutterson was a wealthy man, worth $32,000 in real estate. 1860 census, California, San Francisco, San Francisco. Wm. C.
Huntoon, age 35, merchant, lived with Emily Huntoon, age 33 and Carrie Huntoon, all born in Massachusetts.
1880 census, California, Humboldt, Eureka. William M. Huntoon, a 54 year-old banker, born in Vermont, father born in Canada, mother born
in Vermont, is living with his wife, Laura M. Huntoon, age 50, born in Kentucky, and a servant.
