Message Board Post:

Hello again,

I thought I'd clarify my request for help. I'm an experienced researcher, I know how to locate people.

I am of the opinion that either Port Kenyon got skipped by the lazy drunken census taker, or the schedules got lost.

But if they exist, if they have been scanned, and if they are part of Ancestry's collection, I am hoping someone can point them out to me.

One respondant suggested searching the indexes at Anestry.com. In my original posting, I tried to make it clear that I have done that. And based on my experience and the many corrections I have submitted to Ancestry, the people I'm looking for may be on the schedules, but the attempt to transcribe the names may be so far away from reality that no search of the index will produce a hit.

So again, if anyone knows which of the township enumerations, the names of which I posted in my fiirst message, that contain the info on people in Port Kenyon, I'd be grateful if you'd point me in the right direction.

tia,
-doug q
