Message Board Post:

I'm seeking information on a Cain family from Ireland, some of whom emigrated to England at the end of the 19th century and early 20th century - in particular John Cain, who was born in Ireland around 1877-79. John had a brother called Thomas who was a couple of years younger. Their father was Edward Cain. By 1901, John and Thomas were living in Manchester, England, working in the building trade. We believe they were followed over from Ireland by two sisters, Mary and Rose, who married and settled in Staffordshire. Unfortunately, we don't know what part of Ireland these Cains were from! Does this fit in with anybody else's research? Any help appreciated. Contact:
