There's a biography of a J. B. Swearingen of Kern County in the 1892 "History
of Fresno, Tulare, and Kern Counties" by Lewis Publishing.

It's one of the ones that you can access online, just search for it:

There's some overlapping information, perhaps your Lizzie was this J. B.'s
sister or something?

Not anywhere near all the book is online yet, but with 10-12 a week, I hope to
get it all done sooner or later.
