KAREN VALITCHKA

Karen Valitchka died Sunday, July 29, 2001, at the University Medical Center, Fresno, following complications from surgery to remove a brain tumor. She was 43.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 3, at noon, at the Desert Memorial Park in the rose garden.

Born Oct. 4, 1957, Valitchka was a Ridgecrest resident since birth. She enjoyed the outdoors and daisies.

Valitchka is survived by two daughters, Kristen and Kendra and a brother, Doug, all of Ridgecrest. She is predeceased by both her parents, Doris and Roland.
