LEE WILLIAM SNODGRASS

Son of William T. Snodgrass, a homesteader in the Eastern Sierra mountains in 1919, Lee William Snodgrass died on Sunday, August 19, 2001 at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital. He was 84.

Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 23, at 10:30 am at Desert Memorial Park, with Pastor Rudy Salazar of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church officiating.

Mr. Snodgrass was born on Feb. 13, 1917, at Los Angeles. He worked as a machinist for Aurora Pump in La Puente until his retirement. He lived in Lone Pine, Ridgecrest and Inyokern for 81 years. He had five sisters, two of whom are still living. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, and an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by a son, Jerry L. Snodgrass of San Dimas; a sister, Ellen Cooper of Inyokern; a sister, Alta Banta of Ventura; and two grandchildre.

Holland & Lyons Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
