Hi,
Being new to the mailing list, I am looking for my grandmother's brother
who lived in Bakersfield. He was married to Lillian, possibly
Holbrook?. The name is found as both RODGERS and ROGERS. His given
name was Elcie aka Elcy, Elzy, Elzie and middle name may have been Durland
according to my Aunt.
Elcie and Lillian had children named Jimmy, Jack, Erma, Wanda Lou, Durland
and Jack. There were more children but I do not have their names. I have
my whole RODGERS/ROGERS line documented but Elcie and his family.
Elcie RODGERS died in Bakersfield sometime before 1976 when my grandmother
Hattie Lee RODGERS TOTTY died, as he is not mentioned in her obit. He was
last mentioned in his father's (T. A. RODGERS) obit in 1964.
I would appreciate a look up for his obit or cemetery records or anyone who
has information on this family. OR if you can point me in the right
direction to find his descendants it would be greatly appreciated.
His dob is believed to be Feb. 2, 1904 Texas and he died Nov. 1972 in
Bakersfield, according to the SS records.
