Siddens, Mattie - Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Erickson
and Brown funeral Home, Taft for Mattie Frances Siddens, 91, of 526 D Street,
Taft, who passed away Thursday at home. The Rev. Steve Starr, Pastor of the
First United Methodist church of Taft, will officiate and burial will be in
the family plot in Union Cemetery on Tuesday. Mrs. Siddens was born in
Licking, Missouri on December 29, 1892. she was a resident of Taft since
1921, and was a member of the First United Methodist church of Licking,
Missouri. She is survived by her sister, Clara Reid of Bakersfield; a nephew,
Jack Gill of Taft; a great nephew, Greg Gill of Taft; three nieces, Mary
Darbyshire, Patricia Oxley and Jewel Deem, all of Bakersfield; and other
nephews and nieces.
