MARSHALL EUGENE HIGBEE 1924-2002
Forty-seven year Argus resident Marshall Eugene Higbee passed away of natural causes at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster on Wednesday, November 6, 2002. He was 78.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at 10 am at the Searles Valley Cemetery in Trona. Pastor Mel Wilson will officate the services.
Military Rites will be presented by VFW Post 1950 of Trona. Visitation is set for Tuesday, November 12, 2002 from 5 to 7 pm at Trona's Holland & Lyons.
Mr. Higbee was born July 14, 1924 in Calhoun, Missouri.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1948-1954 and was a Journeyman Machinist Helper at Kerr McGee Chemicals, where he retired.
He was also a past member of the Trona Elks and a member of Trona Foursquare Church. Marshall was known as "Gramps" to all his grandchildren.
Mr. Higbee is survivedby: Wife - Dorothy Higbee of Argus; Step-Son - James Ray Williams of Trona; Step-Daughters - Betty Ann Hoover and Carolyn Hean McCauley of Trona; Sister - Francis Wallace of Neaton, Missouri; Sister-in-law - Betty Clark of Republic, Missouri; Step-Grandchildren - Rebecca Magby, Anthony Ray Williams, Jeanna Roseann Williams, Stacy Lynn Cullins, Charla Dianne Romero, Clinton Wayne Hoover, Ronald James McCauley, and Tracy Marie McCauley; Step-Great-Grandchildren Heather Dawn Hanna, James Dalla Williams, Ian Anthony Williams, Cynthia Lea Williams, Nikia Rain Magby, Tabitha Sean Romero, Rachel Ann Cullins, Jacob Wayne Cullins, Ronald Ray McCauley Jennings, Alexandria Lee Romero, Nephews - Larry Wallace, Jerry Wallace and Mike Higbee of Missouri; Nieces - Sandy Dolliver and Debbie Richardson of Missouri; numerous friends in Springfield and Trona.
Mr. Higbee was preced in death by his brother Claue Higbee.
