Walker, Harvey D. - born July 12, 1903 in Arkansas. Passed away February 12, 1989. Per the deceased prior requests, there will be no services. Cremation is being handled by Greenlawn. Bakersfield has been his home for the last 35 years. Harvey was active in the Masonic Order and was a life member of Olympia, WA Lodge #1 F&AM, York Rite, Al Malalkah Shrine Temple, Kern County Shrine club and thoroughly enjoyed marching with the Harris Patrol. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge #2178. Many friends were made on the golf course, which he played regularly. Harvey was employed by the County of Kern for many years and was affiliated with the Cooks Union Prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Walker. Survivors include his brother, Haskell Walker of Oklahoma; sister, Marie Eveding of San Francisco; sister-in-law, Mrs. B. Walker of Bakersfield; and many nieces and nephews. Per Harvey's request, his estate is being willed to the Shrine Hospital!
. In lieu of flowers, all donations should be sent to: Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, c/o Shrine Office in Bakersfield.
