OLGA PADOLAN 1922-2003

Olga Podolan succumbed peacefully to cancer on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003. She was 80 years old.

A graveside service will be held at Desert Memorial Park on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 11 am. The Rev. Robert E. Gamel of St. Ann Catholic Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite school or charity in her name.

Mrs. podolan was born in Romaniszawa, Poland on Dec. 16, 1922. She immigrated to Alberta, Canada, in 1939 then to Northern California with her husband in 1947. They moved to Ridgecrest in 1988.

"She was a seamstress, motel owner/operator and a homemaker. She had a full and wonderful life. We will miss her stories of the old country, farming in Canada and learning to be a business owner in California. Many friends and family members enjoy her colorful hand-crafted crochet and quilt pieces."

Mrs. Podolan was preceded in death by Paul, her husband of 54 years.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Irene and West Katzenstein of Ridgecrest, grandson Garrett Katzenstein and his wife Julie of Pasadena, grandson Kurt Katzenstein of Reno, Nev. and close friend Francis Givan of Ridgecrest.
