ORVAL HERSHELL HUFF 1912-2003
Longtime Ridgecrest resident Orval Hershell Huff died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003 at his home. He was 91.
A private family graveside service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 1 pm at Desert Memorial Park. The Rev. Robert A. Hoffman will officiate.
Huff was born Feb. 2, 1912 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He served in the U.S. military during WWII and the Korean War.
Huff had been a resident of Ridgecrest for 44 years, retiring from the Naval Ordnance Test Station in 1972.
Huff was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Kiyoko, in 1903 and his son, Benjamin in 1999.
He is survived by his siters Willadean Smith, Maxine Booker and Christine McDonald, brothers Venoy Huff, T. L. Huff and Enice Huff, daughters Ann Locke and Carol Mallory, son Alan Huff, grandchildren Shaun Mallory, Kevin Mallory, Jennifer Soto and Joseph Soto.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to your favorite charity.

Shortly before press time the New Review learned of the death of Orval Hershell Huff. A private graveside service is scheduled for 1 pm Feb. 20 at Desert Memorial Park.

ORVAL HERSHELL HUFF
Longtime Ridgecrest resident Orval Hershell Huff died Feb. 14, 2003 at his home.
A private graveside service was held Feb. 20. The Rev. Robert A. Hoffman officiated.
Mr. Huff was born Feb. 2, 1912 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He served in World War II and the Korean War. A 44 year resident of Ridgecrest, he retired from the Naval Weapons Center in 1972.
He is survived by his sisters Willadean Smith, Maxine Booker and Christine McDonald, brothers Venoy Huff, T. L. Huff and Enice Huff, daughters Ann Locke and Carol Mallory, son Alan Huff and grandchildren Shaun Mallory, Kevin Mallory, Jennifer Soto and Joseph Soto.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Merlyn Huntley's name to the American Cancer Society.
Interment was at Desert Memorial Park. Arrangements were provided by Holland & Lyons Mortuary.
