DORIS "DODY" KATHRYN ARNOLD 1920-2003

Doris "Dody" Kathryn Arnold died Monday, July 7, 2003 in Redlands. She was 83.

Arnold grew up in Chicago, Ill. and attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. During this time she met Charles D. Arnold, a student at Purdue. They married and lived happily for 60 years.

Charles Arnold worked for the China Lake Naval Weapons Center for 23 years as an aeronautical engineer. She worked for the Sierra Sands Unified School District for 34 years as a kindergarten teacher at Vieweg Elementary School. When she retired from teaching, they moved to Air Force Village West in Riverside.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Arnold and a son Robert "Bob" Arnold of Monterey Park.

She is survived by two daughters Ruth Jamron of Redlands and Carol Carter of Lawton, Okla., a son Gary Arnold of Ridgecrest, twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service was held for her at Rose Hills in Whittier.
