WAITMAN, Orville - Funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m in the Doughty-Calhoun-O'Meara Chapel for Orville Waitman, 38, 6714 Rosedale Highway, who drowned Saturday while picnicking with his family. Born July 5, 1914, at Comanche, Okla. he had resided here 15 yeas and was employed by Kern Coil Co. at time of death. He leaves his widow Beda; a son Billy and daughters Cathryn, Helen and Joyce all of Bakersfield; Parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Waltman (sic) of Comanche, Okla.; two brothers, G. J. of Duncan, Okla. and William H. of Walters, Okla.; and two sisters, Jettie Lou Waitman of Comanche, Okla., and Mrs. Ruth Malena of Wasco. The Rev. Charles Wright will officiate and interment will be in Union Cemetery.
