BETTY M. MILLER 1916-2003

Inyokern resident Betty M. Miller died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004 at Ridgecrest Healthcare. She was 87.
No services are planned.
Miller was born March 2, 1916 in Muscantine, Iowa. She worked as a waitress for 35 years prior to retiring and moving to Inyokern in 1984. She volunteered briefly at the Maturango Museum and Beverly Manor.
She was preceded in death by her eldest son Robert Vorwerk.
She is survived by four sons John Vorwerk of San Jose, Ben Vorwerk of Sutter Creek, David Wassson of Peoria, Ill., and Calvin Wasson of Reno, Nev., grandson Dale Vorwerk of San Jose, five granddaughters Margaret Brown of San Jose, Debra Heflin of Ridgecrest, Victoria L. Snodgrass of Inyokern, Inga Alonzo of Hollister and Tonya Vorwerk of Sacramento, grandson Jason Verwerk of San Jose, and eight great-grandchildren.
Private cremation, arrangements and media information provided by Holland & Lyons Mortuary.
