SALVADOR JOE MARTIN JR. 1942-2004

Salvador Joe Martin Jr. passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004 at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital. He was 61.
Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 22 from 1 to 6 pm at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia. A rosary will be said at 6:30 pm on Thursday, Jan. 22. Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 23, at 10 am at the chapel.
Burial will be at Visalia District Cemetery.
Martin was born March 29, 1942 in Dinuba to Salvador and Ramona Martin. He grew up in cutler and graduated from Orosi High School in Dinuba. He moved to Visalia in 1961.
He worked for Olympus Property as an apartment manager in Ridgecrest. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and painting. He loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
His family says this about him: "He was a loving husband, father and good friend. We love you and will miss you."
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife Tamara Martin of Ridgecrest, children Jacqueline Barstow of Nevada, Sal Martin III and wife Melissa of Visalia, Veronica Rios and husband Robert of Visalia, Alvin Martin and wife Jenny of Visalia, Chris Martin of Visalia, Cody Martin of Ridgecrest, Gina Martin of Fresno, Christina Cavasos of Tulare, and James Flores of Visalia, mother Ramona Martin of Visalia, brothers Fred Martin and wife Linda of Orosi, David Martin and wife Yolanda of Visalia, Richard Martin of Visalia, sisters Carmen Camarillo of Orosi, Lucy Pizana of Dinuba, Ramona Guido of Visalia, Brunie Uribe and husband Tom of Visalia, Pat Malone and husband Marty of Tulare, Sally Lockridge and husband Dalton of Visalia, nine grandchildren Heather and Michael Barstow of Nevada, Miranda and Samantha Martin of Visalia, Destiny and Dominic of Visalia, Robert, Ashley and Alexia Rios of Visalia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
