Pittman, Herbert M. - services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Mish funeral Home, Oildale, for Herbert M. Pittman, 76, 329 W. Belle Ave., who died Tuesday in a Bakersfield hospital after a short illness. The Reverend Harry Hodge, pastor of Bethel Temple will officiate with interment to follow in the Arvin-Lamont District Cemetery. Mr. Pittman was born in Kentucky and had lived in this community since 1938. He had been a farm laborer for 20 years and was a member of the Baptist Church in Columbus, Arkansas. Survivors include his widow, Martha A.; three sons, Ruel Grant and Herbert E., both of Bakersfield and Earl Charles of Los Angeles; a daughter, Geneva Anderson of Bakersfield; six brothers, Melvin of Texas, Edward of Kentucky, Millord, Grant, and Henry all of Arvin and Fred of Tehachapi and three sisters, Hattie Lee, Edith Glover and Effie Glover all of Arvin. Pallbearers will be Ruel G. Pittman, Earl C. Pittman, Larry V. Anderson, Robert C. Underwood, Vernon Hallum a!
