OLIVE SORENSEN 1916-2004

Olive Sorensen of Sutherlin, Ore., passed away peacefully on Feb. 6, 2004. She was 87.
In accordance with Olive's wishes, no services will be hald. Cremation services will be conducted by Long & Shukle Memorial Chapel of Roseburg, Ore.
Olive was born to Neils Frandsen and Mary Ann Neilsen on June 1, 1916 in Chilly, Idaho. She married Paul Edwin Sorensen on Dec. 23, 1933. Together they raised three children, Paul C. Sorensen of Issaquah, Wash., Alan K. Sorensen of Ridgecrest and Evlyn K. Harvy of Tucson, Ariz.
Olive enjoyed a life raising her children, reading and horse ranching. She was a member of Valley Riders in Ridgecrest and the Quarter Horse Racing Association. She lived in Idaho, Utah, Washington, New Mexico, California, Arizona and Oregon during her life.
She spent quality time with her children and with wonderful friends in Redmond, Ore. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Sue Allen and Dee Gordon of Sutherlin for the wonderful loving care that Olive received in the last four months of her life.
Olive was preceded in death by her husband Ed in 1977.
She is survived by her three children, grandchildren including Stephen Sorensen of San Diego, Ken and Jill Sorensen of Citrus Heights, Deanna and Ralf Ihmels of Redondo Beach, Michael K. and Julie Sorensen of Ridgecrest, Tom and Kim Mayer of Ridgecrest, Greg and Chanin Sorensen of Ridgecrest, Todd and Cindi Weekly of Idleyld Park, Ore., and bob and Nici Harvy of Vancouver, Wash., 13 great-grandchildren, and sister Bernice Lassiter of Salt Lake City, Utah.
