RICHARD EARL "RICK" KELLY 1957-2004

Richard Earl "Rick" Kelly, who was born in Ridgecrest, passed away in Longmont, Colo. on July 4, 2004 after a lengthy battle with liver disease. He was 46.
A memorial service will be celebrated at St. Ann's Catholic Church on July 15 at 9 am. Monsignor Kevin Cleary will officiate.
The family has requested that donations in lieu of flowers be made to a fund set up for Rick's memorial at 1225 N. Pony St.
He was born in Ridgecrest on Oct. 5, 1957 to William J. and Jean E. Kelly, formerly of Bend, Ore. He was a journeyman backhoe operator, earing his living for many years in the Ridgecrest area, working for a host of contractors and developers.
"Ricky" as his friends and family called him was a loving husband to wife Janice. He was a family man and enjoyed the company of many nieces and nephews in his circle. Rick loved music and spending time with two of his brothers Barrie and Chris, accomplished guitar players, listening to their arrangements and recording their jam sessions. His loving family also included brothers Philip and Frank, and sisters Joanne Ingle and Margaret Ryan.
Rick and Janice moved from Ridgecrest several years ago to Colorado, living in the foothills of the Rockies just below Estes Park.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents and brother Christopher in Ridgecrest.
He is survived by wife Janice of Longmont, brothers Frank of Thousand Oaks, and Barrie of Vancover, Wash., and sisters Joanne Ingle of Ridgecrest and Margaret Ryan of Coronado.
