ANDREW ASHER (of Naches, Wash.)

Andrew Asher died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1993 in Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. He was 72.
Born Feb. 22, 1921 in Jay, Okla. he served in the Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945. After his discharge he worked at the China Lake Naval Weapons Center as a power plant controlman. He retired in 1968 and moved to Naches that same year. He was a member of the American Legion Post 36 and served in the Post's Honor Color Guard.
Mr. Asher is survived by his wife Ella Mae of Naches, son James of Naches, daughters Lottie Turner of California City and Dottie Breneck of Duncan, Okla., brother Paul of Spavinville, Okla., sister Pauline Smith of Moxee, Wash., 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Graveside services were held Oct. 21 in West Hills Memorial Park. Full Military Honors were provided by VFW Post 379. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
