Gertrude Tweedy Passes away

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 15, 1962 at 3 p.m. for Mrs. Gertrude Isadore Tweedy at the Mojave Assembly of God Church with Rev. J. D. Countryman officiating. Burial followed in the Mojave Cemetery with the Stickel Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tweedy, who was born on July 22, 1891 in Lone Tree Missouri, came to California 26 years ago and to Kern County about five years later.
The seventy-two year old widow lived alone at 15711 M Street and died at home from natural causes on the 9th of October.
She leaves two daughters Mrs. Mae Carder of Mojave and Mrs. Edna Pierce of Boron three sons: Alfred, of Spokane Washington; Ray, of Gardena California, and Ted of Garden Grove, California. Nine grand children also survive.
