Cantil lady Taken in death
Mrs. Edna Lorene McIntosh, the wife of James E. McIntosh passed away May 25th at the family home on the Gift Ranch, Cantil, following a lingering illness. Mrs. McIntosh, 56 years of age, was born Oct. 6, 1906 in Terra Haute, Indiana, and had lived in Kern County for the past nine years.
Funeral services were held at the Nazarene Church in Tehachapi on Tuesday, May 28 with Rev. Harold Hawkins of the Mojave Nazarene Church officiating. Burial was at the Tehachapi Cemetery with Stickel Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McIntosh is survived by her husband James who is foreman of the Gift Ranch; three sons, Roy W. of Denver, Milo S. and Robert D. of Cantil; and four daughters, Lenora Grooms of Mojave, Juanita Amaral of La Crescenta, Rose Mary Mitchell of Glendale, and Darlene McIntosh of Cantil. Robert is a member of the graduating class of 1963 at Mojave High School.
She is also survived by a brother Roy MacKinnen of Washington state, and a sister, Mabel Daniels of Idaho.
