Bill Lincks of California City Dead at Age 74

William Maurice Lincks, 74, a meat cutter for 50 years passed away March 31 in Community Hospital, Lancaster.
Born February 14, 1894 in Kentucky he spent the last 11 years in the state residing at 8233 Hemlock, California City. At one time he operated the meat department in the now closed Champ’s Market in Mojave. Last place of employment was Desert Lake Market.
Among his survivors are his wife Lucille, Calif City: one daughter, Mary Ellen Wallace, Los Angeles; three sisters, Ellen Shuffleberger, Oxnard, Harriet Stratton, Washington and Louise Kilmurry, California.
Services were held April 3 at 1 p.m. in Stickel Chapel with Pastor L.B. Burton officiating.
Interment was in Mojave Cemetery with Stickel Mortuary handling arrangements.
