NICHOLSON, Charles A. - Funeral will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. in
Greenlawn Chapel for Charles (Shortie) Nicholson, 65, 107 Roberts Lane, who died
Aug. 19 at a local hospital. Born in California April 2, 1887, he had resided
in Bakersfield since 1918. He worked 15 years for Karnes and Clotfelter at a
service station at Chester Ave. and Roberts Lane. He leaves two sisters, Mrs.
Laura M. Baker of Los Angeles and Mrs. Alice Corey of Santa Paula, and a
niece, Mrs. Ruth Turley of Los Angeles. The Rev. C. M. Ward will officiate.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
