AMY SCOTT
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, at the Agee Funeral
Chapel for Amy Octavia Scott, age 76, who passed away Dec. 10, 1986 in
Bakersfield. Rev. Dawayne Metters of the New Life In Christ Church in Bakersfield
officiated and interment followed in the Shafter Memorial Park.
Mrs. Scott was born April 27, 1910 to Tandy and Georgia Henry in Brent,
Oklahoma. On January 27, 1927 she married Sam Scott Sr. in Salisaw, Oklahoma and
in 1936 they moved to Shafter where they raised their family. In 1970 they
moved to Bakersfield. She was a member of the Shafter Pentecostal Church of
God.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Sam in 1980 and also four
children, Sam Scott, Jr. (who died in infancy), Sam Scott, Jr., Burnice Scott and
Claude Scott.
