Services For H.E. Culpepper
Funeral services for Harvey E. "Eddie" Culpepper, a 25 year resident of Mojave, were held at the First Baptist Church on April 5.
Mr. Culpepper was born on Feb. 11, 1929, in Tolbert, Texas, and passed away in a Bakersfield hospital on April 5, 1976. He had worked as an instrumentation specialist with the civil Service at Edwards Air Force Base for the past 23 years. He served with the U.S. Air Force from 195O to 1953 during the Korean war.
He married the former Tomasa Valadez in Mojave on Dec.15, 1952.,
Besides his wife, Mr. Culpepper is survived by two sons; John and Harvey, Jr:, and a daughter, Cindy, all at the home at 15873 Jean Dr. in Mojave. Other survivor' include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. .Harvey C. Culpepper, Ruston, La.; a brother Wayne, Calhoun, La.; four sisters, Doris Frasier, Velma Johnson and Barbara Hogg, all of Ruston, La., and Nelda Dunman, No. Zulch, Tex.
The Rev. Olin G. Collier of the First Baptist Church officiated at the 2:30 p.m. services. Interment followed at the Mojaye Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Culpepper, Harvey Culpepper, Jr., Talmadge Frasier, Ben Valadez, Tony Valadez and Dave Adams. Honorary pallbearers were Mr. Culpepper's brother, Wayne, and his brothers-in-law, Phillip, John, Simon, Jr., Victor and Jesse Valadez.
Stickel Mortuaries were in charge of arrangements.
