Services For Vurtis Eissler
Funeral services for Vurtis V. Eissler, 52, of Desert Lake, were held in Mojave on Sunday, June 27, at Stickel MortuariesChapel.
Mr. Eissler was born Feb. 6, 1924, in Evansville, Ind., and passed away at Edwards AFB hospital on June 24. He made his home at 24260 Joshua St.
He retired from the U. S. Air Force in 1965, with 22 years service, and held the rank of S/Sgt. At the time of his death he was a greenskeeper at the Edwards AFB golf course. He had been a resident of California for 30 years, and of Kern County for 14 years.
He is survived by his wife, Veda, at the home; two brothers, Lawrence in Connecticut, and Jack of Reseda; and two
sisters, Leona Diese, EI Monte, and Bonnie Lee Fisher, No.Hollywood.
Rev. George Halteman officiated,at the 2 p.m. services. Private inurnment was at the National Veteran's Cemetery in Los. Angeles. Stickel Mortuaries were in charge of arrangements.
