Myrtle McAdams Mojave Pioneer

Graveside services for Myrtle K. McAdams, a 33 year resident of Mojave, will be held on Friday, March 31, 1972, at the Mojave cemetery. The 2:00 p.m. services will be conducted by Ken Browning, reader, of the Christian Science Church in Lancaster.
Mrs. McAdams was born in San Diego on Nov. 11, 1894, and passed away in a Tehachapi, hospital on March 29, 1972. She was 71.
Mrs. McAdams first came to the area about 1915, when she taught school at Oak Creek, which was located at the junction of the Willow Springs and Tehachapi roads.She married her husband, Alonzo B. McAdams on Aug. 1, 1917. He built the Trinity Hotel an K Street, and in partnership with Mr. Cox, the Silver Dollar bar on Sierra Hwy. He passed away in March, 1963. Mrs. McAdams had also worked for the water company for several years. She had lived in Mojave since 1938.
She made her home at 15854 L St. in Mojave. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, World War I Auxiliary, and the Lancaster Christian Science Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Cleveland, of Mojave; a niece that she had raised, Virginia Michel, Mariposa, and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the services will be Ed Fleming, Roger White, Ray Pettitt, Frank Bachman, Bill Winder and Chester Fields. Stickel Mortuaries are in charge of arrangements.
