BILLY J. SWINDLE 1932-2006

Longtime Ridgecrest resident Billy J. Swindle died Oct. 1, 2006 of natural causes at his home in Ridgecrest. He was 74.
Mr. Swindle was born May 27, 1932 in Tupelo, Miss. and had retired from employment as a mechanic. He previously served in the US Navy.
His family says this about him: "He loved his family, loved to repair broken TV's and dressers. Anything that was broke he loved to fix. He loved riding his bicycle and loved talking to everyone he met. He was a good man and will be missed dearly. I miss you pops."
Mr. Swindle is survived by his wife Lou Ann Swindle of Ridgecrest, son Lawrence W. McElligott of Lancaster, daughter Mille Ferran of Rogers, Ark., granddaughter Shirely Perez and her husband Luis Perez of Ridgecrest, grandson John John Eshelman of Rogers, Ark., great granddaughter Amber Eshelman of Ridgecrest, great grandson Ivan Chirinos of Ridgecrest, granddaughter and husband Mary and Percy Nehls of Rogers, Ark. and great granddaughter Sabrena Eshelman of Rogers, Ark.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

At press time the News Review learned of the Oct. 1, 2006 death of Billy J. Swindle, 74, at his Ridgecrest residence. Services are not currently scheduled but will be arranged for a later date.
A previous resident of Tupelo, Miss. Swindle was a US Navy veteran and worked in Ridgecrest as a mechanic.
A complete obituary will appear in next week's newspaper.
