Howard Bahe Lewis

Howard Bahe Lewis, 48, long time resident of California City, died Friday, 17 November 2006, at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster CA. from a lengthy illness.
He was born on February 23, 1958 in Fort Defiance Arizona, son of the late Pauline and still living Kee Lewis.
In his adult life, Howard worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, but his passion was in pursuing his Navajo roots by designing beautiful silver jewelry and by creating kachina dolls and other wonderful pieces through carvings of gourds. Many of his pieces are displayed in several museums throughout the U.S.
Howard loved to fish in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife, Kristi L. Lewis of California City, three children Durward, Heather, & Howard Jr. and two grandchildren, all in New Mexico.
Sisters Rosita Lewis, Sanders, AZ, Loretta Lane, White Cone, AZ, Charlene Multine, White Cone, AZ, and Linda Lewis, White Cone, AZ. And his step mother, Della Lewis.
