John H. Debord Passed Away At His Home April 19
Funeral services for John Harvey Debord were held at the O'Donnell Chapel at Barstow. Rev. V. C. Horton of the Boron Baptist Church officiated. Mrs. Fae Sausser and Ralph Older sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Saved by Grace." Pall bearers were: Stan Sausser, Ertan Keyes, Ernest Shelton and Clifford Belding. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery in Barstow.
John Harvey Debord was born in Marion, Virginia July 21, 1875. At the age of 17 he moved with his parents to Madison, Missouri. On Feb. 25, 1902 in Shelbina, Missouri, he married Ada Mae Fristoe. Seven children were born to this union, all of which )are surviving. There are fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In 1934 Mr. Debord moved to Boron from Hooppole, Illinois. He passed away at his home in Boron April 19; 1953 at 2:42 in the afternoon.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ada Debord; four daughters, Mrs. Lillie Belle Druien of Rock Falls, lllinois; Mrs. Jewel Walker, Hobart, Indiana; Mrs. Mildred Cunningham, Rawlings, Wyoming, and Mrs. Dixie Aragon. Three sons, Leon of Huntington Park, and Cecil and Harty Debord of Boron.
