Yes Audrey, I saw your post of CALDWELL from Orange County, NY. That is
nearer to the Albany end of New York State. Our farm is nearer to the
Buffalo end of the state. The James was 10 in 1804. Mine was born JUNE
12, 1815 in ALLEGANY (County? or Town in Cattaraugus County? I am
assuming it is county as that is where most of the family had been from
and that is near here) I have saved your post (actually all of them are
in a folder on my computer in case I happen to make a connection).
Thank you for your help. What is also curious is, I think the name BOYD
is also a local name. I'll have to dig some more to find out where I
have heard it.
