Regarding the George Caldwell who signed the Petition of Sundrey Inhabitants of Prince Edward Co, Oct 11, 1776: I have traced my family back to George Caldwell, B Feb. 5, 1760, in Prince Edward, VA, D. May 20, 1835, who was married to Sarah Jane Kelly. Family rumor was that we did have an ancestor who fought in the Revolutionary War, which would have been George. I am looking for information on parents, and to try to trace back to Ireland/Scotland.
Any help is appreciated.
