I would like to Thank everyone for expressing their thoughts and prayers for
all of us who live in the New York , Washington D.C. & PA and all over the US
that were affected buy this tragedy.
On Tuesday morning Sept.11 I had off from work so I dropped my son off at
school and proceeded to go pick up a coffee at my uncles bakery ,when I
arrived everyone was staring at the T.V. I didn't know what was going on
until I asked and everyone answered me I was shocked and worried. First I
didn't know what to do I just stood there and than phone calls started coming
in for my aunt who worked in the World Trade Center relatives were calling
asking if her husband had heard from her and he hadn't at that time I was I
was aware of the first plane hitting than a few minutes later she called
telling us she was okay and than she called about 5x after that saying
everybody she worked with was also okay but she saw everything that happened
and was very distressed. Than I thought of my father who works in the city
but midtown right next to Grand Central Station I called his job and the
phones were busy than I was even more worried because he had left for work a
little late that morning and I know the train passes right under the WTC that
he takes but later on that day he called to tell me he was okay he walked
from 42nd & 3rd over the Williamsburg Bridge (manhattan to Brooklyn) than to
Grand St and Metropolitan ave in Brooklyn than took 2 buses home which on a
weekday would take about an hour and it took him 3 hours. My cousins
girlfriend saw the whole thing ran broke her shoes had no shoes after that
and took 10 hours to get home to LI, my 2 cousins work by one another in
Manhattan near 42nd & 5th Ave walked to the 59th Street bridge and up to
Queens Blvd than to the intersection of Queens Blvd and Woodhaven Blvd where
their father picked them up, it took them 3 1/2 hours to get home and their
usually home within an hour. My aunt who I mentioned that worked in the WTC
walked to Prospect park where my uncle picked her up. I spoke to her a little
while ago and she is not doing well, she saw the 2 planes hit and people fall
and the 2 crumble she told me "It was the worst thing I ever saw in my life
and wouldn't want to live threw seeing that again" I also met someone that
morning who was a little unaware of what happened and said he had an office
right below the observation deck where his partner was and we told him what
had happened and he started crying he said his partner was there he tried
calling and there was no answer I don't know what happened after that but I
hope and pray he was able to locate his partner like so many others hoping
they find their loved ones it must be hard I can't imagine what they must be
going threw and I hope and pray for them.
On friday afternoon I went to church only me and a few others were there and
I prayed for all those who are missing and who are injured and all the
Fireman, Police men and volunteers for God to bless them and give them
strength. I recently found out a friend of mine whom I used to work with, her
father is a fireman who was at the WTC who is missing. It is sad when it hits
close to someone you knew well
Whomever done this and whomever is happy about this tragedy will try to hide
but can't hide forever and will pay. I'am not hoping for war because many
might die but I'am hoping for the worst on these attackers and countries or
people who are in this together. This is a tragedy that all Americans feel.
God Bless America and Their Wonderful
People.
