Just remember, when you see a birth place as born in Germany it may be in
fact be Russia as in my uncle's case - it say Germany as birth place when in
fact he was a German from Russia and was born in Neudorf, Glueckstal, South
Russia. It all depends on the informant. Many Beckers were also from South
Russia.
