I don't live in Santa Monica, but I could stop by
the library and check their Santa Monica phonebook.
HOWEVER!!! It might be better to do this: Hie thee
unto thy website http://www.555-1212.com. Once there,
look around on the screen for the REVERSE lookup button.
Push it. You will be able to enter the street address
you have for your grandma's cousin and, if whoever lives
there today has a listed phone number, that person's
name and phone number will be returned to you. If
nothing comes back, you are back to square one. But
if some stranger's name comes back, you know to look
elsewhere. This is called a "reverse lookup."

You can also just write to the cousin at that
street address and let the Post Office try to figure
it out. They could have a forwarding address.
