Kathleen,

I would try the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for starters. Then some of the
Television Stations would most likely have something in their archives on the
sign.

Hi I am new to your list, and I'm hoping someone might be able to help me.

>From information in my grandmother's journal, and from information received
from my father's cousin, I believe that my great grandfather might have been
working for the M.H Sherman Company that built and installed the
Hollywoodland sign in 1923.

My grandmother's comment in her journal was:
"Father was building houses for a company building in Hollywoodland."

Would anyone know how I might be able to find out if the company that my
great grandfather was working for in 1923, was in fact M.H. Sherman?

Thank you for your kind assistance.
Kathleen
