Looking for information on the HAGEMAN, MEARA AND MCGINTY FAMILIES IN SAN
DIEGO COUNTY:
Descendancy Narrative of Wiliam F. Hageman
I. William F.1 HAGEMAN (17282) was born in April 1840 at OH, US. He married
Sarah Elizabeth MCGINTY (3030), daughter of Thomas MCGINTY (3028) and
Margaret Theresa BRENNAN (3029), on 1 April 1887 at Arapahoe, CO, US. Sarah
Elizabeth was previously married to William P. Noe in Arapahoe County, CO on
27 Sep 1882. The marriage recorded in Arapahoe County, Denver, CO is between
Sarah E. NOE and William F. HAGEMAN. We do not know if Sarah was a widow or
divorced. William and Sarah Elizabeth MCGINTY (3030) lived in 1890 at 1328
3rd St., Denver, Aapahoe, CO, US. He and Sarah Elizabeth MCGINTY (3030)
appeared on the census of 9 June 1900 at Denver, Arapahoe, CO, US. William
and Sarah (also went by Sadie and Sady) were living separately but both
recorded as married in the 1920 Census. Sadie E. HAGEMAN (transcribed
HAGERMAN), her mother Margaret T. McGINTY, daughter Eleanor E. Meara
(recorded as married) and grandson Charles W. Meara, age 9 born in California
were living at 1507 Albany Place, renting in Albany City, Oakland Township,
per the 1920 US Census for California, Roll T625_92, Page B, ED 162, image
120 on Ancestry. William F. HAGEMAN was a lodger in San Diego City, San
Diego Township (appears to be 835 Sixth Street) and he is recorded as
married (1920 US Census, California, San Diego County, San Diego Township,
Roll T625_131, Page 4A, ED 321, Image 1055).
A. Unknown2 HAGEMAN (17288) was born circa 1889. The 1900 Census records
Sarah as having 6 children, 5 living. Child could be a NOE by Sarah's
marriage to William P. NOE.
B. Eleanor E.2 HAGEMAN (17284) was born in July 1890 at Arapahoe (Probably),
CO, US. She married Charles W. MEARA (17289), son of Unknown MEARA (17292)
and Unknown COLLIGAN (17291), circa 1910. As of circa 1910, her married name
was Eleanor E. MEARA. She and Charles W. MEARA (17289) were divorced before
1920. (Charles W. Meara was found in the 1920 US Census, California, Alameda
County, Oakland Township, Roll T625_89, Page 14A, ED 73, Ancestry image 234,
Charles Meara, born CO, parents born CO, divorced, occupation boiler maker
at oil company.)
1. Charles W.3 MEARA (17290) was born between 1910 and 1911 at CA.
C. Esther2 HAGEMAN (17285) was born in April 1892 at Arapahoe (probably),
CO, US.
D. Evelyn2 HAGEMAN (17286) was born in November 1894 at Arapahoe (probably),
CO, US.
E. Emma2 HAGEMAN (17287) was born in June 1898 at Arapahoe (probably), CO,
US.
F. William F.2 HAGEMAN (17283) was born on 1 January 1899 at Arapahoe
(probably), CO, US. He appeared on the census of 13 January 1920 at Park, MT,
US. He died on 27 July 1984 at Nevada City, Nevada, CA, US, at age 85.
We are unable to locate Esther, Evelyn and Emma on any 1920 Census.
