Subject: FW: [CALosAngeles] Encino Cemetery Question

Here's a link to the SoCal Obituaries website, which may be a starting place
for your search.

I don't have any Encino newspapers listed. The California Newspaper Project
lists only five newspapers that served Encino. Unfortunately, they are all
outside the time frame you are searching:

The Daily News serves the San Fernando Valley. However, the time frame
doesn't work with the obit you're searching for. The earliest edition of
The Daily News is 1981.
There is an outside chance that a death notice could have been published in
the LA Times. CSU Fresno has microfilms of the LA Times back to 1969. Here
is the California Newspaper Project list of other repositories that keep the
LA Times:

You could also get in touch with the Encino Historical Society. I don't
know whether they have any newspapers but it couldn't hurt to ask.

Encino, CA 91436
I noticed that one of the newspapers on the CNP site was "Israel Today",
which was published in Encino. I know that Encino has a significant Jewish
population. If you could find out his religion, it might help to pinpoint
the cemetery.
Good luck on this search.
Paula
Can anyone shed some light on this?
