SARAH JANE SMART at No. 11 South Los Angeles street, aged 54 years, 3 months.
Funeral takes place on Sunday at 1 o'clock from the A. M. E. Church, San Pedro
street. Friends invited to attend.
ADMINISTRATOR'S SALE OF REAL ESTATE
In the matter of the estate of Clara Emilie Engel, deceased.
Notice is hereby given that pursuant to an order of the Superior Court made on
the 5th day of March, 1888, I will sell at private sale, on or after the 23d
day of March, 1888, all the right, title and interest of the estate of said
Clara Emilie Engel, deceased, in and to the following described real estate in
the City of Los Angeles, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, to
wit: The undivided one-half of lot ten (10) and lot twelve (12), in block "I,"
of Moore and Kelleher's survey of Boyle Heights tract, the said premises being
situated on the corner of Aliso avenue and St. Louis street, and having a
frontage on Aliso avenue of one hundred and twenty feet (120) feet, and a depth
along St. Louis street of one hundred and forty-eight (148) feet.
Bids or offers must be made in writing and left with the undersigned at his
residence, No. 14 Chicago street, Boyle Heights, or with Haynes and Mitchell,
attorneys, room 2, Allen Block, Los Angeles.
Terms of sale - 10 per cent upon acceptance of offer or bid and the remainder
of one-half of the purchase price on confirmation of the sale and the remainder
in one year thereafter, with interest at 8 per cent per annum, and secured.
Sale subject to confirmation by the court.
