Subject: [CALosAngeles] Ravenswood Apartments in 1930

Perhaps one of you has been through this exercise, or can help me look. The
Ravenswood Apartments, at 570 N. Rossmore, at the corner of Clinton (near
the Wilshire Country Club), were built in 1928. They later became famous
because Mae West lived in the penthouse for many years, Ava Gardner and Judy
Garland, and many others also called the Ravenswood home. My mother
believes my uncle lived there around 1930 and I have been unable to find him
in the 1930 Census index. I have been searching for the residents of the
Ravenswood but have been unable to find the address or the building listed
in the Census. I have looked at district (ED) 162. Around page 45, SH 8A
(image 55, on Ancestry.com), there is the large apartment building listed at
569 N. Rossmore. This is directly across the street, but the images don't
seem to have 570 N. Rossmore. I have even thought that it might have had a
Clinton address at the time but I haven't found anything there either.

Is anyone game to find this historical place and perhaps some interesting
residents?
